EU-approved Brazilian cattle holdings

MAPA's APTAS list — the Brazilian bovine holdings cleared to supply the EU export chain, and the register the EU's TRACES system draws on. MAPA publishes it as a numbered PDF that each release replaces, so only the current version exists at source. We record every version, which is what makes it possible to say a holding was dropped rather than merely that it is absent today.

How to read this, and what we leave out

We publish businesses, not individuals. 0 of the 1,259 current entries are natural persons identified by CPF rather than registered businesses. They are counted in the totals above, because leaving them out would misrepresent the size of the register — but we do not republish their names or their tax numbers. The official source remains public for anyone who needs it.

What a listing does not prove: Approval here is about animal-health eligibility to supply the EU chain, not environmental or labour compliance — a listed holding may still appear in any other register on this site. It also says nothing about whether a given consignment actually came from a listed holding. Note the EU removes Brazil from its list of countries authorised to export animal products on 3 September 2026, over controls on antimicrobial use — a separate matter from the EUDR deforestation deadline of 30 December. This register is the Brazilian side of an arrangement now in flux.

This page is a republication of an official public register, with provenance and dates attached. It is not an accusation by us, not legal advice, and not a compliance attestation. If you believe an entry here is wrong or out of date, tell us at [email protected] and check the official source below.
