Deforestation exposure is modelled, not observed. Trase associates a company’s sourcing regions with deforestation recorded in those regions. A figure above zero does not mean this company cleared land, and a figure of zero does not certify that it did not.

“Latest year” varies by company. It is the most recent year Trase has data for this exporter, not the current year. A company that stopped exporting in 2019 shows 2019 figures, which say nothing about it today.
